RX RECORDING/DIGITAL (logger audio recording or digital decode levels).
VU meter: this "stacked LED" display shows the audio level into the analog
to digital controller. Note, the display is active only if a sample rate
is selected.
microKEYER II shows one slider for each input – Left for the Main RX and
Right for the Sub RX. Keep the sliders at about 80% and use the RX Main
and RX Sub pots on the front panel for adjustment. When correctly
adjusted, the input signal should never show RED.
Sampling: sets the sample rate used for the RX level displays.
Because of the of the way the Windows sound system handles
multiple access to the sound card, always turn off the level displays
(set Sampling: off) when they are not in use.
Rec/RX Mixer: this button opens the Windows Record (Input) Mixer for the
selected sound card.
GET ID: this button will retrieve the name and number of the sound card.
The name can be used to verify that the correct sound card has
been selected. The Wave In ID can be used to configure software
that identifies sound cards only by number.
AUTOMATIC INPUT SELECTION
Router automatically switches the inputs of microHAM CODEC based on the mode decoded from
the transceiver (CW, Voice, or FSK/Digital). The active (selected) input is indicated by the green
"LED(s)" above the sliders. The input can be selected by clicking on the gray LED or by invoking
Windows Mixer (click on the Rec/RX Mixer button).
Line In is always selected in CW and FSK/Digital modes because the microphone input has no use.
In VOICE modes, Router remembers the user's last selection. choice.
NOTE: When Router's DVK is used, the input will automatically be switched to microphone for
recording and returned to the user's selection when the recording is finished.
