13.2.21 Scrambler (Output)

You may assign this output terminal to one of Port 1 ~
Port 8.
This terminal becomes a Low logic level when the
Scrambler function is "On" on that channel.

13.2.22 Reset (Output)

This output terminal allows you to reset the
SmarTrunk ST-865KW4. This function may only be
used with the SmarTrunk board.

13.2.23 Ignition Sense

This terminal allows you to select whether or not to
use the Ignition Sense function.
The transceiver turns ON/OFF corresponding to the
connected vehicle's status when IGN (CN3 - Pin1) is
connected to the ignition line of the vehicle using the
Connection Cable (KCT-31) and the Ignition Sense
function is enabled.
Refer to Section "19 Ignition Sense" for details.
13.3
Fixed Port Function
Description
This section details other transceiver ports other than
the Function Port.

13.3.1 SB (CN2 - Pin1)

This output terminal provides a source for battery
voltage.

13.3.2 GND (CN2 - Pin3)

This terminal is the ground for external devices.

13.3.3 IGN (CN3 - Pin1)

This output terminal works with the Ignition.
Refer to Section "19 Ignition Sense" for details.
The KCT-39 has this terminal. However, this terminal
is not used in the KDS-100 and KGP-2A/2B.
Note: This terminal does not work with the Power until R71
on the board is removed. Without removing R71, 90%
of the battery is output when applying the 39k , as the
internal resistance is approximately 4.7k .

13.3.4 DATAI (CN3 - Pin2)

This is the input terminal for external signalling
devices.
The signal is transmitted from this terminal without
passing through the Pre-Emphasis circuit. The input
level must not be excessive since the modulation
control is bypassed.
The KCT-39, KDS-100, KGP-2A/2B, and SmarTrunk
Board use this terminal.

13.3.5 DETO (CN3 - Pin3)

This is the output terminal for external signalling
devices.
This terminal outputs the demodulated signal before
it passes through the De-Emphasis circuit.
The KCT-39 has this terminal. You can also use this
terminal in the KDS-100 and KGP-2A/2B.

13.3.6 TXAFI (CN3 - Pin4)

This input terminal may be used for the scrambler's
transmit audio.
You must remove R202 and connect it to the TXAFO
terminal.
Refer to Section "18 Scrambler" for details.

13.3.7 TXAFO (CN3 - Pin5)

This output terminal may be used for the scrambler's
transmit audio.
You must remove R202 and connect it to the TXAFI
terminal.
This terminal outputs the signal before it passes
through the Pre-Emphasis circuit.
You must use AC coupling for connection to this
terminal.
Refer to Section "18 Scrambler" for details.
