7 FleetSync
7.1
Overview
"FleetSync" is an MSK messaging protocol used for
data communications and unit identification.
The TK-7100/8100H only supports the FleetSync
PTT ID encode function and Emergency.
You must select "Edit > Optional Features > PTT ID
Type > MSK".
The PTT ID of the FleetSync is transmitted when the
PTT switch is pressed and / or released on a Channel
programmed with PTT ID.
The TK-7100H/8100H does not have the FleetSync
decode function; you must use transceivers such as
the TK-780/880 to receive the PTT ID. This will allow
the caller ID to be viewed when the PTT ID is
received.
Transceivers that have the FleetSync decode
function can output the received PTT ID through the
communication port and transmit the data to a PC.
With this function, the dispatcher may monitor
communications in real time. The PTT ID transmitted
from the communication port is used to administrate
the communications log.
7.2
Description of Function
7.2.1 Fleet-ID
You must program a FleetSync ID for each
transceiver, in order to use FleetSync. The FleetSync
ID consists of a 3-digit Fleet number and a 4-digit ID
number.
You can program the Fleet number between 100 and
349, and the ID number between 1000 and 4999.
7.2.2 Data TX Modulation Delay
Time
The Data TX Modulation Delay Time is the time from
when data transmission begins and the MSK Data is
sent.
7.2.3 FleetSync Baud Rate
The FleetSync Baud Rate is the data baud rate of the
MSK Modem.
The FleetSync Baud Rate configuration of both the
transmitting and receiving parties must be the same
to complete communications.
1200bps
This setting is suitable for regular
communications.
2400bps
With this setting, you can transmit more data in a
shorter time, as compared with 1200bps.

However, errors are more likely to occur as
communications are performed at high speeds.
