8.1.5 Emergency Code
You can program an Emergency Code when DTMF is
selected as the Emergency Type.
You can program the first transmitted Emergency
Code for making automatic transmission.
You can program the code using 0 ~ 9, A ~ D, "*", and
"#".
Leave the box blank when you will not be transmitting
an Emergency Code.
8.1.6 Emergency Ack Code
You can program this code when DTMF is selected
as the Emergency Type.
The dispatcher uses this code to notify the
transceiver, which is in Emergency, that the
Emergency Code was received.
You can program the Code (up to 16 digits) using 0 ~
9, A ~ D, "*", and "#".
Dots appear on the display when the transceiver
receives the Emergency Ack Code.
Refer to "8.1.16 Emergency Recognition" for
Emergency Mode display details.
8.1.7 Emergency Reset Code
You can program this code when DTMF is selected
as the Emergency Type.
The dispatcher transmits the Emergency Reset Code
to exit the transceiver's Emergency Mode.
You can program the Code (up to 16 digits) using 0 ~
9, A ~ D, "*", and "#".
The transceiver exits Emergency Mode when it
receives the Emergency Reset Code and returns to
normal opearation.

8.1.8 Emergency FleetSync No./ID

You can program the Emergency FleetSync No./ID
when MSK is selected as the Emergency Type. The
dispatch radio's ID should be programmed as the
emergency ID so that the emergency is directed to a
radio that always has an operator present.
The transceiver transmits a FleetSync Status
Message of 99. Status 99 is used for Emergency
messages. The TK-7100H/8100H does not have the
FleetSync decode therefore a transceiver such as the
TK-780/880 must be used to decode the FleetSync
message.
8.1.9 Horn Control Port Logic for
Emergency
You can use this function in the 2nd Emergency
Mode.
The Horn Control logic toggles between High and
Low in the 2nd Emergency Mode.
You can control an external device using the Horn
Control terminal.
This port is normally programmed High.
The Horn Control terminal toggles between Low and
High every 500 ms, three times when the Horn
Control Port Logic for Emergency is Pulse.

programmed duration of the Horn Alert Time when
the Horn Control Port Logic for Emergency is set to
Continuous.
