4.3.5 "UPPER PAPER EMPTY"
Step

Is the actuator of the Paper empty sensor
damaged?

Is the actuator of the Paper size sensors
damaged?

Select SENSOR TEST in the test mode.
(Refer to page 11-20.)
When the Recording paper tray is inserted
into the machine does Bit 12-14 (Lower
data) change?

Is the cable firmly connected between the
Paper size sensors and the Mother PBA
(CN26), between the Mother PBA (CN24)
and the Main PBA (CN12)?
Select SENSOR TEST in the test mode.

(Refer to page 11-20.)
When the Recording paper tray loaded
with paper is inserted into the machine
does Bit 15 (Lower data) change?
Is the cable firmly connected between the

Paper empty sensor and the Mother PBA
(CN27), between the Mother PBA (CN24)
and the Main PBA (CN12)?
When no problem is found in steps above,

the PBA's may be defective.
DP120F/DP125F Troubleshooting
Check points
Replace the Paper empty sensor.
Replace the Paper size sensors.
When the bit changes, go to step 5.
Insert the cable into the connector firmly.
When the bit changes, go to step 7.
Insert the cable firmly to the connector.
Replace in the order of: Main PBA, Mother
PBA.
