• Some 6. l-channel compatible discs do not have a signal (flag)
which this unil can automatically detect. When playing Ihese
kinds of discs with 6. l-channeL select a decoder (PLllx Movie.
PLllx Music. EX/ES or EX) manually.
• 6. l-channel playback is nol possible even i l EX/ES is pressed in
Ihe lollowing cases:
When "SURR L/R SP" (see page 54) or "SURR B L/R SP"
(see page 55) is set to NONE.
When the source connected to Ihe MULTI CH INPUT jack is
being played.
When the source being played does not contain surround left
and right channel signals.
When a Dolby Digital KARAOKE source is being played.
When "2ch Slereo ' or PURE DIRECT is selected.
• When the power of Ihis unil is turned off, Ihe inpul mode will be
reset to AUTO.
• When Ihe DTS-ES decoder is applied to DTS 96/24 signals, you
cannot use Ihe DTS 96124 decoding feature.
• The Pro Logic IIx decoder is not available when "SURR B L/R
SP" is set Io NONE (see page 55).
• PLllxMovie cannot be selecled when "SURR B L/R SP" is set
Io SMLxl or LRGxl (see page 55).
• Enjoying 2-channel software
Signals input from 2-channel sources can also be played
back on nmltiple channels.
Press rYI/DTS on the remote control to select the
decoder.
You can select from the tUllowing decoders depending on
the type of software you are playing and your personal
preference.
