Reverse drive pedal shaft

To remove/replace the reverse pedal shaft:
1. Remove the deck as described in Chapter 8 Cutting
Decks and Lift Shaft.
2. Remove the screw that holds the reverse pedal to
the pedal shaft using a 9/16" wrench.
See Figure 5.25.
3. Unhook the reverse pedal and remove it.
4. Remove the E-ring and washer from the right side of
the forward pedal shaft.
5. Disconnect the spring from the bolt in the reverse
pedal channel. See Figure 5.27.
