speed. Moving the throttle lever forward toward the
F
position increases the engine speed. Moving
AST
it rearward toward the S
engine speed. The throttle controls the speed of the
PTO and, with the traction pedal, controls the ground
speed of the machine. Always run the machine
with the throttle in the F
attachments.
Hour Meter
g014169
The hour meter records the number of hours that
you operate the machine with the key switch in the
R
position. Use these times for scheduling regular
UN
maintenance.
Engine-Coolant-Temperature
Warning Light
If the engine-coolant temperature is high, the warning
light
(Figure
8) glows and an equipped attachment
shuts off. If the coolant temperature rises another
11°C (20° F) while you continue to operate the
machine, the engine shuts off.
Important:
If the attachment shuts off and the
temperature warning light is on, push the PTO
knob down, drive the machine to a safe, flat area,
move the throttle lever to the S
the traction pedal to move to the N
and engage the parking brake. Allow the engine
to idle for several minutes while it cools to a safe
level. Shut off the engine and check the cooling
system; refer to
(page
