Protective earth (PE)

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE
Before carrying out any operation, check that any external switch of voltage sources (downstream
to the EVSE) are in OFF position and check for voltage absence on the AC conductors!
The EVSE must be earthed via the connection points marked with the protective earth symbol and using a
cable with an appropriate conductor cross-section for the maximum ground fault current that the system
might experience.
The earth connection must be made through the Protective Earth (PE) internal connection busbar
NOTE
Any failure of the EVSE not connected to PE is not covered by the warranty.
In compliance with standards it is necessary to install a earthing cable in one of the protective earth terminal
with a minimum section as indicated in the table below:
Cable
PE (Yellow/Green)
CAUTION
The value on this table are valid only if the protective earthing conductor is made of the same
metal as the phase conductors. If this is not so, the cross-sectional area of the earthing
conductor is to be determined in a manner which produces a conductance equivalent to that
which results from the application of this table.
Cross section
At least half of the phase cable cross section
