Check the Installation Environment
●
Check the rack or mounting bracket: ensure that rack or mounting bracket should be able to hold eight times
of the total weight of equipment.
●
Check the cooling space: ensure thermal dissipation space is enough.
●
Check space clearance: ensure at least 1.5 m (5 ft) clearance in front of the rack (the cold aisle). This will
allow to fully pull out the chassis without obstruction.
●
To install the systems in shallower third-party racks other than Lenovo racks, see Appendix for instructions to
adjust the rail kit.

Unpacking
Follow the following steps to unpack the product:

Inspect the package to make sure that it has not been damaged.
