Servicing the Engine Oil

Engine-Oil Specifications
Crankcase Capacity: 0.71 L (0.75 US qt)
Oil Type: API service class SJ or higher detergent oil
Viscosity: See the table below.

Checking the Engine-Oil Level
Service Interval: Before each use or daily
Note:
The machine is shipped with oil in the
crankcase; however, check the oil before and after
you start the engine.
The best time to check the engine oil is when the
engine is cool before it has been started for the day. If
you have already run the engine, allow the oil to drain
back down to the sump for at least 10 minutes before
checking. If the oil level is low, add oil to bring the oil
level to the Full mark. Do not overfill.
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Shut off the engine and remove the key.
4. Check the engine-oil level as shown in
