■ Staple-Free Staple Unit
When the clinch motor (M9) drives and the cam rotates once, the clinch arm pinches the paper. The wave-shaped upper teeth
and lower teeth of the clinch arm bite the paper to bind it.
The clinch arm's home position is detected by the clinch HP sensor (PS15).
After power ON, the finisher controller PCB drives the clinch motor (M9) to return the clinch arm to the home position. If the clinch
arm is at the home position to begin with, it remains there and waits.
NOTE:
If the malfunction of the Staple-Free Staple Unit has occurred, the alarm (Alarm code: 61-0002) is notified after the operation of
the machine has stopped as the jam.
When replacing the Staple-Free Staple Unit after the notification of the alarm, perform the following service mode.
• SORTER > FUNCTION > EMSG-CLR

If the staple-free staple setting exceeds the stapling capacity that can be bound, divided delivery is performed. If the upper limit
is exceeded, shift-sort mode is used for the second and subsequent copies.
Example: Divided delivery for 11 A4 (80g/m
10 sheets are delivered in a stack without stapling. The 11th sheet is delivered by itself.
