5-2-2. Monitor Output
The input signal selected (microphone input signal only in
the case of PAL) passes through the ALC circuit (23 dB full
gain), fade circuit (fade controlled by the control signal from
Pin @J of CN202), mute circuit (during recording, the signal
is muted by the system mute signal from Pin @ of CN201 ,
and during playback, self-muting is carried out if there is
dropout of 500 µs or more), and line amplifier (8 dB gain)
and is output ( - 7 dB) from Pin @ [Pin ® ) of IC201 . The
Leh and Reh of the monaural signal are mixed by the mixer
circuit inside the IC and output ( - 7 dB) from Pin @) . The
output signal from Pin @ [Pin ® ) of IC201 is output from
Pin ® [Pin ® ) of CN202 via an analogue switch and passes
through CP1 , after which it is output to the audio RCA
terminal of TB2. The output signal from Pin @) of IC201 is
output to the remote control DIN terminal of TB2.
5-2-3. Recording Signal Processing
As mentioned in the previous section, the signal which is
output from the fade circuit is input to the line amplifier, and
also to the matrix circuit (to generate L
then passes through the noise reduction circuit and the LP
emphasis circuit (in the case of PAL, emphasis processing
+
is not carried out), and then FM modulation is carried out
(the L
R and L - R signals are modulated to 1 .5 MHz and
1 .7 MHz carriers respectively). Then the signal is output
from Pin @ of IC201 and is input via Pin @) of CN202 to the
recording signal processing circuit of the CP1 circuit board.
5-3. PLAYBACK SYSTEM
The playback RF signals have the 1 .5 M Hz and 1 .7 MHz
components taken out respectively by the T2001 and T21 01
band pass filters, after which they are input to Pins @ and
demodulator circuit, but the demodulation sensitivity of the
1 .5 MHz and 1 .7 MHz signals are adjusted by VR201 and
VR21 1 respectively.
The demodulated signals (1 .5 MHz and 1 .7 MHz are
demodulated to the L
pass through a hold circuit (held just before head switch
over and dropout generation), after which they pass through
the LP emphasis circuit, noise reduction circuit, matrix
circuit (L and R signals are generated from the L
R signals) and then the mute circuit (in the reverse order to
the recording system), and are then output to the line
amplifier. After this, the process is the same as for the
recording system.
