Optional) Setting Communications Parameters; Startup And Commissioning - Huawei NetCol8000-A Series Quick Manual

1. Teamwork group no.: A maximum of four groups, with the same teamwork control number, can be
assigned (1–4) for one teamwork networking.
2. Smart cooling product address: In a teamwork control group, each smart cooling product address
(1-32) must be unique, and the smart cooling product with minimum address is the master smart
cooling product.
3. Networking mode: The networking mode set on the screen must be consistent with the actual
networking mode.
4. Enable teamwork CAN resistor: Set the parameter if CAN teamwork is used. Set the parameter to
ON for the first and eight smart cooling products.
5. Number of smart cooling products in this group: Indicates the number of precision smart cooling
products in a group. The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 32.
6. Number of running smart cooling products in this group: Specifies the number of running
NetCol8000-As in a group. The value ranges from 1 to the number of NetCol8000-As in the group.
7. Rotation function: Enable the active and standby smart cooling products to work alternately. This
function is recommended when the heat load is even.

RS485 Monitoring Network Cable (Modbus-RTU Protocol)
a. On the home screen, choose Settings > Comm Settings > Modbus Settings. The value
should be consistent with that set on the EMS.
b. Set the communication address. The communication addresses of two smart cooling
products connecting to the same EMS must be unique.
c. Set the RS485 monitoring grouping.
•
For CAN networking and no grouping scenario, set the "RS485 monitoring grouping" of
the last smart cooling product to "Enable".
•
For CAN networking and grouping scenario, set the "RS485 monitoring grouping" of the
last smart cooling product in each teamwork control group to "Enable".
FE Monitoring Network Cable (Modbus-TCP Protocol/SNMP Protocol)
a. On the home screen, choose Settings > Comm Settings > IP Settings. the IP assigning
mode is set to Manual. Set IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway according to the actual plan.
b. On the home screen, choose Settings > Comm Settings > Modbus Settings. Set Link mode
to Server and client or Client, and set Client encryption to Enable.
c. Enter the actual IP address of the EMS.
d. When Client encryption is set to Enable, set NMS port number to 32907.

If the DHCP server is configured on the NMS, select DHCP auto. If no, set this parameter to
Manual.
•
The encryption mode must be the same as it on the NMS.

Startup and Commissioning

Download the Service Expert app from Huawei app store and runs on Android. Apply for
permission after downloading the app.
•
Ensure that no combustion-supporting materials (air or additives) enter the air conditioning
system during commissioning. Huawei shall not be liable for any risks and losses thus incurred.
