Switching the ice cube maker on
and off
Risk to health due to contamin-
ated water.
Bacteria can develop in water which
has been sitting in the water supply
lines for too long. This poses a risk to
your health.
Throw away the first 3 batches of ice
cubes made after the ice cube maker
is started up, as the water will have
been used for the initial rinsing of the
water supply line.
This applies to the initial commis-
sioning as well as when using the
appliance again after it has been
turned off for a long time.
Only make normal domestic quantities
of ice cubes with the ice cube maker.
Please note:
- When using the appliance for the first
time, it can take up to 24 hours for
the first ice cubes to drop out of the
ice cube maker and collect in the
drawer.
- After the ice cube maker has been
turned off and on again, this process
lasts max. 6 hours.
- Make sure that the ice cube drawer is
empty before switching on the ice
cube maker.
- Ice cubes can only be made when
the ice cube drawer is completely
closed.
Selecting further settings
If lights up in the display, the ice
cube maker is not being supplied with
sufficient water.
Check whether there is water in the
water container.
The ice cube maker can be turned off
independently of the refrigeration appli-
ance if:
- You do not want to make any ice
cubes.
- You switch Holiday mode on.
- You switch the refrigerator section off
separately.
Tip: If the ice cube maker is switched
off, the ice cube drawer can be used as
an extra drawer for freezing fresh food
and storing frozen food.
You cannot switch Super freeze or the
ice cube maker off when Party mode
is switched on.
After a mains outage, the ice cube
maker will, if it was previously
switched on, be deactivated after
power is restored.
– Additional functions
After switching the ice cube maker on,
the function "Ice cube tray: set to clean-
ing position " will appear in the dis-
play in Settings mode .
