Traction and Stopping Pedal
The traction pedal
(Figure
machine move forward, to move it backward, and to stop
the machine. Using the heel and toe of your right foot, press
the top of the pedal to move forward and the bottom of
the pedal to move backward or to assist in stopping when
moving forward

8). Allow the pedal to move or move

The ground speed is proportionate to how far you press
the traction pedal. For maximum ground speed, press the
pedal fully while the throttle is in the Fast position. To get
maximum power or when ascending a hill, have the throttle in
the Fast position while pressing the pedal slightly to keep the
engine speed high. When the engine speed begins to decrease,
release the pedal slightly to allow the speed to increase.
Important: For maximum pulling power, the throttle
should be in the Fast position and the traction pedal just
barely pressed.
CAUTION
Use the maximum ground speed only when driving
from 1 area to another.
Maximum speed is not recommended when using
a mounted or towed attachment.
