Using access keys to generate a new license key

PTP 800 CMUs are supplied with a factory default license key. Perform this task to
generate a new license key to activate AES encryption or to increase transmit
capacity.
Before starting this task, perform
To generate a new license key, proceed as follows:
Procedure 6-11 Use an access key to generate a license key
Purchase the required new capabilities (AES encryption or increased data

rate) from the Motorola authorized point-to-point dealer who supplied the
PTP 800 link.
The dealer will supply one or more access keys.
Go to the PTP web support page at

and select Key Generator. The PTP License Key Generator page should be
displayed.
Enter the required details, including the access keys supplied by the dealer.

Submit the web form.

The PTP License Key Generator will respond with the new license key.
