Forecasts for Grid Buy Price

This panel allows you to provide grid buy price forecasts in $/kWh. If you select one of the importing or
exporting options, there is no limitation and the unit is enable to either import or export over the prediction
horizon based on your setting.
Forecast - Internal: If set to TRUE, the MGC relies on the past Internal file based Price.

Forecasts for Grid Sell Price

Set the sell price of electricity in this panel, meaning the prices at which the grid purchases from the microgrid.
The information is similar to the previous section. The Grid Sell field specifies the grid to which the microgrid
exports
Forecast - Internal: If set to TRUE, the MGC relies on the past Internal file based Price.

Forecasts for Heat Load

Set the expected demand for heat in this panel, for use in forecasts. The information is similar to the Load
section earlier
Forecast - Internal: The MGC relies on the past 24 hours Meter/measured Heat Load from the Asset

Forecast Value Update Procedure

The procedure for updating the Forecast information is common for:
Renewable,
Electrical Load,
Heat Load,
Grid Buy Price, and
Grid Sell Prices.
The Resolution and Offset are applicable for Load, Grid, Renewable and Heat Load forecasts.
1.
Select the appropriate values for the Resolution, Offset, Internal settings
Result: The MGC application creates Analog Output and Digital Output points accordingly.
2.
Apply Forecasted values for the respective intervals using Analog Output points (path MGC > Point
Summary > Applications > Microgrid Controller > Analog Output)
3.
Once all the Forecast values have been entered, apply the Digital Output command to implement the
Forecast values through MGC application (path MGC > Point Summary > Applications > Microgrid
Controller > Digital Output)
For example: If you select:
Load Forecast resolution as 60,
Offset as 0 and
Internal as False
Result: The MGC creates the following points in the Point summary of MGC > Point Summary >
Applications > Microgrid Controller:
24 Analog Output points
1 Digital Output point
48
