Appendix D Diagnostic Information for 800xA

Diagnostic Information for 800xA History
The following information is common for 800xA History Embedded Data Collector
as well as 800xA History Server Node.
The diagnostic information is written to text files and can be accessed from the
following location:
From Desktop, open RTDB Control Panel folder and then navigate to Diagonistics
Tools | View Latest Log Files | Diag. Alternatively, Diag folder can also be
accessed by clicking Start | Run, typing, %app_datapath%\diag and then pressing
Enter.
The Diag folder contains the log files for all the related services of History or DC as
well it contains various logs for the runtime processes by the database.
Additionally, the live diagonistic messages can be viewed for the specific services
by the running the batch files available at following location: Desktop | RTDB
Control Panel | Diagonistic Tools.
Start/Stop History Server Database
Starting and Stopping the Database (either in 800xA History Server or the 800xA
History Embedded Data Collector Node) can be carried out by various methods.
However, it is advised to use the batch file called Start RTDB/ Stop RTDB available
in the Desktop in folder Database Control Panel.
