4. Pump grease into the fittings until grease begins to
ooze out of the bearings (approximately 3 pumps).
5. Wipe up any excess grease.

Engine Maintenance

Servicing the Air Cleaner

Service Interval: Every 200 hours—Replace the primary
filter. (Service more frequently if
conditions are extremely dusty or sandy.)
Yearly—Replace the safety (secondary) air filter.
(Service more frequently if conditions are extremely
dusty or sandy.)
Important: Do not clean the filters. Cleaning them may
damage them, allowing contaminants into the engine.
Removing the Filters
1. Lower the loader arms, stop the engine, and remove
the key.
2. Release the latches on the air cleaner and pull the air
cleaner cover off of the air cleaner body ().

3. Clean the inside of the air cleaner cover with
compressed air.
4. Remove the rubber outlet on the cover and clean it and
the port it covers thoroughly.
5. Replace the rubber outlet.
6. Gently slide the primary filter out of the air cleaner
body and discard it (). Avoid knocking the filter into
the side of the body.
7. If you are also replacing the safety filter, gently slide
it out of the air cleaner body and discard it (). Avoid
knocking the filter into the side of the body.
Important: Never clean either filter element in any
way. Cleaning it may damage it, allowing contaminants
