- 8. Turn the steering wheel to the extreme left. Remove
from right side of tractor.

4. Blade belt inspection and replacement

1. Remove the cutter deck from the tractor (see page 46).

2. Remove the five 8 mm nuts, remove the right and left pulley covers,
and clean any grass and other foreign matter from the inside of the
covers.

3. Check the belt for signs of wear or cracks.

4. Replace the belt with a new one if the belt is worn or damaged,
replace it in the following manner: Grasp the belt midway between
pulleys A and B, pull it toward you and to your left. Remove the belt
from the pulleys starting with pulley A. Remove the belt from the
other pulleys.

m If the belt is not released slowly, the idle pulley will move sud-
denly and could injure your hand. Be sure to install the right and left pulley
covers securely. Failure to install the pulley covers can cause serious per-
sonal injury.
