To configure the IMA interface, follow this procedure:

Configuring with the Command-Line Interface

Enable routing protocols as required for your

global configuration. This example uses IP

routing, AppleTalk routing, and Internetwork

Packet Exchange (IPX) routing.

Enter interface configuration mode. You have
entered interface configuration mode when the
prompt changes to
Router(config-if)#.
Enter the transmit clock mode for the selected
ATM interface. The choices are internal, line, or
loop. The default is line.
For T1 interfaces only, specify the cable length
(short or long) followed by the length in feet.
You can view the acceptable cable lengths by
including the ? option after the long or short
commands.
Specify the loopback type for this ATM interface
by entering the loopback command followed by
one of the following: line, local, payload, remote.
You can view command descriptions by including
the ? option after the loopback command
