Installation Instructions
Exterior Access Door
Warning
Carbon monoxide, fire, and explosion hazard. Failure to obey the warnings below could result in
death or serious injury.
• This water heater must be vented and sealed properly to avoid carbon monoxide leak inside of the
RV.
• All combustion air must come from outside of the RV and all combustion exhaust gas must be
vented outside the RV.
• Do not vent this water heater with a venting system that serves another appliance.
• Do not vent this water heater to an enclosed area or directly into any combustible material.
Installing the Exterior Access Door
1. Apply caulking or silicone sealant on the RV sidewall around the water heater framed opening as shown
in the below image.
2. Apply caulking or silicone sealant on the bottom of the water heater case as shown in the below image.
3. Insert the exterior access door frame into the water heater case. Ensure the flange of the door assembly
is inside the water heater case.
4. Open the access door to allow clear path for securing the door flange to the sidewall.
5. Secure the access door to the sidewall of the RV using
6. Close the access door such that the two latches protrude through the slots in the door. Turn both latches
90 degrees and flip down to secure the door.
