VERIFYING OPERATION
It can take up to 5 minutes from power application to this device becoming fully operational. This device has LEDs that indicate
the status of the device.
•
if you installed the device with a battery, see Table 1 for a description of the LEDs
•
if you installed the device without a battery, see Table 2 for a description of the LEDs
The numbers in brackets indicate the components referenced in Figure 1.

On
Normal operation. Router has AC power applied & fuses are
steady
functioning.
Off
Main power supply is missing or below operating threshold;
or, AC line fuses are faulty or missing.

AC power is not present at the charger; device is operating
steady
from battery power.
Off
Normal operation. AC power is present at the DC power
supply/battery charger.
On
• With AC power absent, this indicates the operational
backup battery [4] is critically low and on the verge of
failure.
• With AC power present, the battery fuse might be faulty or
the battery requires service.
Off
Normal operation. Battery is within normal parameters and
connected to the system.
On
Normal operation. System idle; battery fully charged.
1 blink/second
On
Normal operation. Battery is charging normally.
2 blinks/second
On
Battery is charging after being deeply discharged.
5 blinks/second
On
Battery is disconnected or battery fuse is faulty.
2 blinks, pause
Off
Router is not operating from either AC power or DC power. The
system is shut down.
Blinking
Normal operation. Indicates that the Linux kernel is
operational.
Off
The Linux kernel is not operational & the device will not
respond to network requests.
Blinking
Normal operation. The gatekeeper/router is functioning &
operational.
Off
The gatekeeper/router functionality is not operational.
