PLACING THIS DEVICE INTO SERVICE
Use authorized utility procedures when installing or servicing this device. Equipment damage, personal injury, or death can
result if authorized utility procedures are not followed when installing or servicing this device. Do not install or service this
device when this device is powered on.
This device is an FCC Part 15 Class A device, and it is not intended for installation in or on a residence. See FCC Part 15 Class
A compliance statement on page 12.
Be sure to properly ground this device before placing it into service.
Although this device supports nominal power supply ranges from 120 VAC to 277 VAC, you must identify the power supply at
the installation site to properly configure it for operation. The numbers in brackets indicate the components referenced in
Figure 1.

Be sure that AC power is disconnected at the installation point.

Follow your utility's authorized procedures; mount this device at the installation point.

Connect protective earth to the bracket [11] and to the service post [11] at the bottom of the enclosure.
The ground terminal shall be connected to safety earth using 12 AWG or higher wire gauge. The insulation shall have
flammability rating of UL94 V-2 or better. The color coding and wiring shall be done as per the rule by the National
Electrical Code.

Whether initially installing with a battery or not, set the battery charging level on the charger [6] to minimum by using a
screwdriver.
