Replacing the Main Batteries
1. Make sure that unit power is turned off.
Replacing the Back-up Battery
The back-up battery is in a compartment in the location shown in the
® If power is on, press the [Power] button to turn it off.
illustration below.
2. Turn the unit over.
3. While sliding the main battery compartment cover release to the
FREE position, slide the main battery compartment cover from the
unit.

e Never remove the main batteries and back-up battery from the unit at
the same time. Doing so causes all data stored in memory to be
deleted.
¢ Should the main batteries and the back-up battery both require
the following message appears on the display: "Prevent possible
data loss by promptly replacing your backup battery according to
your hardware manufacturer's instructions."

e If power is on, press the [Power] button to turn it off.
2. Slide and hold the release slider (marked A in the illustration below)
in the direction indicated by the arrow, and then slide the back-up
battery compartment cover down.
5. Replace the main battery compartment cover.
6. Slide the main battery compartment cover release back to the LOCK
position.
After replacing batteries, turn on power and immediately check "Power
compartment cover
