modes of Remote Mode, the modem passes all data from the
selected third-party device to a host.
Remote Mode is designed so that a RAELink3 2.4GHz modem
can be used as a drop-in replacement for an existing RAELink
or RAELink2 modem without modification.

10.3 Repeater Mode

In this mode, the modem functions as a repeater. It does not
interpret or process the data that passes through it. Its function
is to extend the distance between a Remote and a Host, or to
route the signal to deal with obstructions to line-of-sight
communication.
