tcp-port

tcp-port
Use the tcp-port TN3270 configuration command to override the default TCP port setting of 23. Use
the no form of this command to restore the default.
Syntax Description
port-number
Defaults
In TN3270 configuration mode, the default is 23.
In PU configuration mode the default is the value currently configured in TN3270 configuration
mode.

Usage Guidelines
The tcp-port command can be entered in either TN3270 configuration mode or PU configuration
mode. A value entered in TN3270 mode applies to all PUs for that TN3270 server, except as
overridden by values entered in PU configuration mode. The tcp-port command affects only future
TN3270 sessions.
The no tcp-port command entered in PU configuration mode removes the override.
Example
The following command entered in TN3270 configuration mode returns the TCP port value to 23:

A valid TCP port number in the range of 0 to 65534. The
default is 23, which is the IETF standard. The value 65535
is reserved by the TN3270 server.
