15.3 Checkin the starter relay

Remove the defective fuse.
Guideline
Fuse - 10 A - EFI control unit

Fuse 2 - 10 A- fuel pump
Fuse 3 - 10 A - high beam, low beam, parking light, tail light, license plate lamp
Fuse 4 - 10 A - horn, brake light, turn signal, radiator fan
Fuses res - 10 A - spare fuses
Info
A defective fuse is indicated by a burned-out fuse wire f).
Warning
Fire hazard

Use only fuses with the prescribed amperage. Never bypass or repair
fuses.

Use spare fuses with the correct rating only.

Replace the spare fuse in the fuse box so that it is available if needed.

Check that the power consumer is functioning properly.

Close the fuse box cover.
Finishing work

Mount the seat. (.,. p. 76)
Preparatory work

Switch off all power consumers and switch off the engine.

Remove the seat. (.,. p. 76)

Remove the air filter box cover. (.,. p. 73)
Main work
-
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
-
Pull the starter relay off of the holder.
-
Pull off connector
-
Disconnect cables
-
Connect the starter relay to a 12 V power supply as shown.
-
Measure the resistance between the specified points.

Resistance of open circuit
If the value displayed does not meet specifications:
-
Change the starter relay.
