Release the two spring clips on either side of the memory module to release it from the socket. (See

Grasp the edges of the memory module with your thumb and forefinger, and gently pull the memory

Memory modules are sensitive components that are susceptible to ESD damage. To prevent ESD

damage, handle the memory module by the edges only; avoid touching the memory chips, pins, or traces
(the metal fingers along the connector edge of the memory module). (See

Pull the tabs away with
your thumbs, bracing your
forefingers against the
rails. The memory module
will be released. Then raise
the memory module to
a vertical position.
