Timer recording radio
programs
To timer record, you must first preset the radio
station (see "Presetting radio stations" on
page 36) and set the clock (see "Setting the
clock" on page 6).
You can perform this operation only using the
remote.

Tune in the preset radio station (see
"Listening to a preset station" on
page 37).

Press CLOCK/TIMER SET.

Press . or > repeatedly until
"REC SET?" appears, then press
ENTER/YES.

Press . or > repeatedly until
"ONCE?", "DAILY?" or "WEEKLY?"
appears.
If you select "ONCE?", the Timer
Recording activates only once. If you select
"DAILY?", the timer activates at the same
time every day. If you select "WEEKLY?",
the timer activates at the same time on the
set day of every week.

Press ENTER/YES.
If you select "ONCE?" or "WEEKLY?",
the day indication flashes. If you select
"DAILY?", the hour indication flashes.

Press . or > repeatedly to select
the desired day.
If you select "DAILY?" in step 4, proceed
to step 8.

Press ENTER/YES.
The hour indication flashes.

Set the time to start recording.
Press . or > repeatedly to set the
hour, then press ENTER/YES.
The minute indication flashes.
Press . or > repeatedly to set the
minute, then press ENTER/YES.

Set the time to stop recording following
the same procedure as step 6 through
8.

Press . or > repeatedly to select
MD or tape, then press ENTER/YES.

When you record on an MD, press .
or > repeatedly to select the
recording mode (e.g., LP2, LP4), then
press ENTER/YES.
Timer Recording settings appear, then the
original display returns.

Load a recordable MD or tape.
If you use a partially recorded MD,
recording starts after the recorded tracks.
If you use a tape, perform steps 4 and 5 of
"Recording on a tape manually" (page 41).

Press ?/1 to turn off the system.
