Due to the fitting tolerances on the machine, the rotor cannot be coaxial moun‐
ted into the stator. During operation, radial forces within the motor can affect
even onto the shaft end on which the rotor is mounted.
To ensure sufficient stiffness of the drive system, consider when dimensioning
the necessary shaft diameter
the necessary mininum air gap after assembly of rotor and stator,
the affecting radial forces during operation due to the permanent magnets
on the rotor (see the following table),
the weight of the rotor and if applicable further application dependent af‐
fecting radial forces
