To Adjust the Copy Image Quality in the Full Color Mode

• The setting value for the Full color mode shall be applied also when the original is judged as the full
color image in the Auto Color mode.
• You can start with any of the procedures. But it is recommended to perform the procedures in order, as
listed below. You can perform one procedure in conjunction with another. But if this changes the image
quality more than required or loses the effectiveness of the adjustment, restore the settings made in
the previously performed procedure to the original ones. Then perform other procedures.
• Both the service technician and the user can perform procedures (1), (4) and (8).
• Only the service technician must perform procedures (2), (3), (5), (6), (7), (9) and (10).
• To reduce faint text, increase the copy density. To reduce blurred text, reduce the copy density.
(1) Press [Copy] on Home screen. Press [
After increasing the copy density, copy and check the copy image quality.
(2) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE] and change the setting values for the codes from [7988] to [7995]
to adjust the density of the text for each color.

• The subcode to use varies according to the density area to be adjusted. By referring to the table
below, enter the code of the area to be adjusted.

After changing the setting value, perform copying and check the image quality.
If an additional image quality adjustment is necessary, perform the following steps.
(3) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE]. Increase the values for codes [7713 to 7726] to strengthen the
copy density of text.
• The code to use varies according to the original mode or the manual/automatic density setting.
Select the [05] code for the original mode in which the image quality is to be changed, and start
the adjustment start from the setting value "128".
