    The DrayTek VigorAP 802 is a dual-band AC750 Mesh wireless access point that is fitted to and powered by a UK plug socket. Simply plug the VigorAP 802 into the wall socket and add it into a Mesh network, or set it up as a Range Extender to expand your wireless network coverage.

    Descriptions of Components Status Explanation The VigorAP is powered off. Blinking Slowly: The VigorAP is ready and operating normally. Quickly: The system is booting up or resetting to the Factory Default value. 2.4G 2.4GHz Access Point is active. 2.4GHz Access Point is turned off. Blinking Data is being transmitted on the AP’s 2.4GHz wireless interface.
  • Page 5 Mesh Node: Disconnected from Mesh network. Range Extender: Disconnect from Wireless Network. Blinking AP mode: The system is scanning the surrounding network. Or WPS is enabled and the system is waiting for response from the wireless client. Mesh Node: Attempting to connect to Mesh network.

    Plug the VigorAP into a UK power socket and turn on the plug socket. As a mesh node, the VigorAP 802 is added into the Mesh and configured by the Mesh network’s Mesh Root (e.g., VigorAP 903). Connect to the Mesh Root’s management interface or manage the Mesh Root with the DrayTek...
  • Page 7 3.2 Access Point & Range Extender Setup When used as an access point, the VigorAP 802 must be connected to a router and configured in AP (Access Point) mode, or Range Extender mode. Plug the VigorAP into a UK power socket and turn on the plug socket.
  • Page 8 If connected directly to the VigorAP with no other network, configure your PC with an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range. If there is no DHCP server on the network, then the VigorAP 802 will have an IP address of 192.168.1.2.
  • Page 9 (d) Follow the on-screen steps to finish the network connection. Method 2 – DrayTek Wireless App: (a) Using a smart phone or tablet, scan the “DrayTek Wireless App” QR code, or search for “DrayTek Wireless” in your device’s App Store to download and install the DrayTek Wireless APP.
  • Page 10 (d) Press the Scan button to use your device’s camera to scan the QR code named with Connect SSID. (e) Once the QR code has been scanned, the VigorAP 802’s default SSID will be entered as the SSID and the default pre-shared key entered as the Password.
