Camera Setup

The Camera feature allows you to enrol cameras and view up to four cameras at one time using the quadrant view feature. If using existing (mounted)
cameras, go to Step 4 below. If this is a first time setup, you will need to Discover/Configure the cameras prior to mounting and then follow the steps
below.
ICON
1. Connect a Cat5/6 cable to your camera (LAN) and connect the
opposite end to an Ethernet connection on your router.
2. Apply power to the Camera. It may take a few seconds for
initial power-up of camera.
3. On the
Home
screen press the
code (or press the
Multimedia
icon. The
Camera List
4. Press the
icon to locate the camera. Once located,
Discover
highlight the camera address, and press the
Step 7 below.
5. If the camera information is not automatically obtained, press
the
icon to manually enter information on the
Add
screen.
6. To edit camera information, highlight the camera name and

Edit

a) To retrieve camera settings and connect to the camera, press

b) Highlight each field to enter new information on the Data
Entry Keyboard and use the up/down arrows to change
settings.

7. When all cameras have been added, press the

If camera does not have wireless capability, leave it connected
to router.

NOTES
Initial camera setup cannot be performed over a wireless
connection.
Notes:
QuickTime® media player must be installed on your
computer.
Max. suggested camera resolution = 640 x 480.
Max. suggested frame rate = 5 fps.
Camera viewing is not compatible if using Opera web
browser.
IMPORTANT: Use a web browser to view cameras for non-
security purposes only. Camera streams viewed on web
browsers can stop without indication due to network connection
issues.
Use the Data Entry Keyboard to enter all required information.
Press the Up Arrow key to switch to capital letters
Press the X key to delete
Press the ABC/.?123/Åå key to switch between numerals
and symbols/characters.
Press GO to return to the "Add New Camera" screen.
Enter the appropriate wireless information for SSID, Security
Mode,
N/W type, Domain and Channel.
WARNING: Make sure the cameras are connected via Ethernet
with a Cat 5/6 cable.
On the Edit or Add Camera Settings screen, enter the
appropriate information (NAME, IP Address, RTSP, MJPEG,
MOBILE, RTSP PORT#, MODEL, USER NAME, PASSWORD,
RESOLUTION, FRAME RATE, HTTP Port#) if known.
A pop-up window displays:

company and ask for Total Connect™ service and provide this
camera's MAC ID ‹00c0027fcd15›. Press Continue to prepare
