End Of Life Battery Removal
When Searchpoint Optima Plus reaches the end of its life, it should be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.
Searchpoint Optima Plus contains a lithium battery of the type CR2032, which can be located and removed
as follows.
The battery does not need to be replaced during the working life of the unit. Opening the Searchpoint
Optima Plus enclosure will invalidate its warranty and certification.
1. Remove the two main assembly screws (M5) which hold the two sections of the Searchpoint Optima
Plus together.
2. Remove the "back end" section, which includes the potted cables.
3. Looking inside this section, locate the two screws that hold the printed circuit board in place.
4. Remove the two screws and remove the printed circuit board. The battery is located on the underside
of the board.
5. Cut the contacts to the printed circuit board to remove the battery.
6. Dispose of the battery in accordance with local regulations.
