Steam ironing system

Problem
The indicator light *
flashes eight times
and k lights up.
The steam ironing
system constantly
switches off or the
indicator light *
flashes nine times and
k lights up.
Possible cause
The residual water
drawer has not been
detected.
There is a fault with
the steam ironing
system.
The descaling
process was
interrupted by the
appliance being
switched off. The
iron or the steamer
was plugged in
when the appliance
was switched back
on.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
– Switch off the appliance.
– Clean and dry the metal
contacts on the residual water
drawer.
– Switch the appliance on again
and remedy the fault as follows:
– Push the residual water drawer
into the appliance and leave it
there for at least 20 seconds.
– Remove the residual water
drawer again. Then empty and
dry it.
– After at least 20 seconds,
push the drawer back into the
appliance.
The appliance is now ready for
use and will continue the process
started before the fault occurred.
Switch the appliance off and
then back on again.
If the indicator light continues to
flash, call Miele.
Switch off the appliance and
disconnect the iron or the
steamer from the steam
connection socket.
Switch the appliance on again.
The descaling process will
continue.
