With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected
without contacting Miele. This will save time and money as a call-out charge will
apply to customer service visits where the problem could have been rectified as
described in these operating instructions.

Repair work to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a suitably
qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current local and
national safety regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons
could be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised
work.

Problem
The steam ironing
system cannot be
operated.
The steam ironing
system cannot be
operated after a power
failure.
The ironing board's
height cannot be
adjusted.
Possible cause
There is no supply
of electricity.
The appliance is
switched off.
The ironing board is
locked in place on
both sides of the
tower.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
Check whether
- the appliance is plugged in,
- the fuse or circuit breaker has
tripped.
Press the On/Off button s to
switch the appliance on.
If the power failure occurred
during the automatic rinsing
process, it will restart after the
steam ironing system has been
switched on again.
If the power failure occurred
during the automatic descaling
process, it will continue from the
point at which it was interrupted
after switching on again.
Ensure the ironing board is
locked into place on both sides
of the tower (see 'Assembling').
