Starting the descaling process
After approx. 10 minutes (dissolving time for descaling
tablet), the descaling process starts automatically.
At different times during the descaling process water is
pumped into the steam generator and then deposited in the
residual water drawer.
Some steam is released and burbling noises can be heard.
The indicator lights will inform you if the residual water drawer
needs to be emptied or the water container needs to be filled.
The indicator lights k and 2 will now light up.
^ Remove the water container and rinse it thoroughly. There
must not be any descaling residue left behind.
^ Fill the water container to the descaling symbol k with
fresh tap water and wait for approx. 20 seconds before
refitting the water container in the appliance.
^ Remove and empty the residual water drawer.
^ Wait for approx. 20 seconds before refitting the drawer in
the appliance.
The indicator lights k and 2 will go out.
The process lasts approx. an hour and then all of the water is
drained from the steam generator into the residual water
drawer.
Water is then pumped into the steam generator to rinse it out.
After this, all of the water is drained into the residual water
drawer.
The indicator light 2 illuminates again.
