Problem
The indicator light *
flashes six times and
k lights up.

Possible cause
The steam
generator is
contaminated with
water which is too
calciferous or saline.
There is a fault with
the steam ironing
system.

Remedy
Start the descaling process by
pressing the j button.
In this case, descaling is not
prompted via the indicator
light k (see 'Cleaning and
care').
To avoid this problem recurring,
you can raise the water
hardness level set to at least one
step higher.
For example, if water hardness
has been set to 4, increase this
to 5 or higher (see 'Setting the
water hardness level').
Switch the appliance off and
then back on again.
If the indicator light continues to
flash, call Miele.
