Adjusting the Traction Drive for Neutral (continued)

6. When the wheel stops rotating, tighten the jam nuts to secure the adjustment.
7. Shut off the engine and remove the key.
8. Remove the jack stands and lower the machine to the ground.
9. Test drive the machine to ensure that it does not creep.

Checking the Rear-Wheel Alignment

1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Measure the center-to-center distance (at axle height) at the front and rear of the
steering tires.
Note:

The front measurement must be 3 mm (1/8 inch) less than the rear
