Ceramic hob
Basically you can use the same clearh
Ing agents for the ceramic hob as you
would for ordinary glass surfaces. Nev*
er use scouring agents or pads, or
strong cleaners such as oven sprays
or slain temovefs. as these could harm
the surface.
• Dean after each use
Wipe off any minor spiHs with just a
damp cloth. If the hob Is cleaned with
for example washing up liquid. Hghl
blue steirHng might occur. These
stair^s can be removed with one of the
proprietary agents mentlor>ed.

may take several appHcatior^.
Hardened apllls should be carefully
scraped off with a sharp blade. The
hob surface should then be rubbed
clean with a damp cloth.
• Light marks with a metallic sheen
(aluminium deposits) on the hob sur¬
face can be removed once the hob
has cooled down by using a suitable
proprietary cleaner.
Lime deposits on Ihe cerarrsc surface,
caused for example by water boing
over, can be removed with vinegar or a
proprietary ceramic hob dealer.
• Removal of sugar or syrups, plast¬
ic or aluminium foil
On no account turn off the cooUng
area affected, but scrape off Ihe sugar
or other residue thoroughly from the
hot hob with a sharp bikle. Then
switch off the hob. and when R is cool
clean with a recommended cleaner.
• Suitable proprietary cleaners
There are proprietary cleaners on the
mai1(et for ceramic hobs. Follow the
manufacturer's Instructions. Do not
apply to hobs when stil hot. Always
make sure that every trace of cleaning
agent has been rerrioved. as It could
have an adverse effect on the hob
when healed up. Some cleaners incor¬
porate a sUcor^e agent which acts as
a protective fSm on the ceramic hob.
However, cooking at high tempera¬
tures reduces the effect and the clean¬
er rteeds to be reappked for renewed
effect
