Status codes

Most status codes appear on the OSD until you acknowledge them. The codes identified with
asterisks (**) appear for approximately 10 seconds, then disappear automatically.

Waiting for power
Capacity of external PoE device is
insufficient to support operation
of the camera's internal heater.
Capacity of the external PoE
device is insufficient to support
operation of the camera's window
defroster.
When operating using redundant
power sources, the camera is
detecting insufficient voltage
being provided by the external
High PoE power source.

Recommended action
(to be completed by a qualified Service
Technician)
– Make sure that the length of the Cat5e/
Cat6e cable does not exceed 100 m
maximum.
– Check that the mains power meets the
specifications of the midspan.
– Follow all of the recommended practices
as outlined in the Installation Manual.
– Use 24 VAC power (100 VA), or make
sure that the High PoE source is an
appropriate Bosch midspan:
– NPD-6001C, NPD-6001C-E,
NDP-6001-I, NPD-6001C-BT,
NPD-6001C-EBT or NPD-6001-IBT
(60 W);
– NPD-9001-E or NPD-9001-EBT
(90 W) for cameras with an
illuminator
– Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section of
the midspan installation manual.
Note: Bosch does not recommend or test any
third-party High PoE sources. If you use a
non-Bosch PoE device, then contact the
manufacturer of that device for assistance.
An incorrect type of PoE+ or PoE++ (such as
one based on IEEE 802.3af or IEEE 802.3at)
with insufficient power output may be
connected to the camera.

1. Verify that the High PoE power source
(midspan or switch) can provide 95 W of
output power.
2. Verify that the network cable is not longer
than 100 m maximum.
