3-12. Inserting/Removing the Optical Disc Cartridge

The optical disc cartridge can be inserted any one of the vacant bins.
1. Press the DOOR OPEN key.
The elevator retreats automatically to the bottom, and the lock on the door is released.
2. Open the door and load the optical disc cartridges to be used into the bin drum.
If the face for the bin in which you want to set the cartridge is not at the front, turn the bin drum. (For
the bin drum turning methods, refer to the operation manual.)
w
To prevent hand's being caught by the moving bin drum, the drum rotation work should be
done by one person.
n
Since the performance of the DECK is not affected even when the door of the Professional Disc Cart
machine is open, the optical disc cartridges can be inserted or removed while the DECK is in operation.
However, the elevator block does not move with the door open. Leaving the door open prevents the
optical disk cartridges from being transferred.
Be sure to close the door as soon as you finish inserting or removing the desired optical disc cartridges.
n
Insert the disc cartridge in the direction of the arrow until its front edge contacts the back wall of the
bin unit.
If the disc is not inserted correctly, the misplacement sensor detects it and displays an error message,
prohibiting the elevator from moving.
3. To remove the disc, pull the disc horizontally.
n
For handling of the optical disc cartridge and operating on the DECK, refer to the operation manual
supplied with the Professional Disc Recorder PDW-1500/PDW-HD1500/PDW-F1600 and the
operating instructions supplied with the PDW-F70/PDW-F75/PDBK-A640/PDBK-104.
