Adjusting the throttle link and
throttle cable operation (with a stop
bolt)
NOTE:
• Be sure to synchronize the throttle valves
before adjusting the throttle link.
• For synchronizing procedures, see Chapter
4, "Synchronizing the throttle valve."
1. Loosen the locknut 1, remove the clip
2, and then disconnect the throttle cable
joint 3.
2. Loosen the locknut 4 and disconnect the
link rod 5 from the magnet control lever

3. Install the stop bolt (general bolt) 7 into
the threaded hole.

4. Push the throttle control lever 8 against
the stop bolt 7.
NOTE:
Use a general bolt with the specified mea-
surements.
Stop bolt 7:
a: 10 mm (0.39 in)
b: 6.0 mm (0.24 in)
c: 1.0 mm (0.04 in)
5. Push the magnet control lever 6 in the
direction of the arrow to eliminate any
looseness, and then adjust the link rod 5
so that it aligns with the magnet control
lever joint 9.
6. Install the link rod 5 and tighten the lock-
nut 4.
7. Remove the stop bolt 7.
8. Check that the alignment mark d is
between the alignment mark e. If not,
repeat steps 2–6.
