Upgrade Procedure

To upgrade the transceiver firmware file (
procedure below.
1. Launch a TFTP server on a PC connected either directly or over a
LAN to the transceiver Ethernet port (
allow downloads from the directory containing the firmware image
file.
2. Connect to the entraNET MS using a Web browser or Telnet session
over the
, or Terminal emulator using the

3. Go to the entraNET MS Reprogramming Menu.

4. Fill in the information for the following:
TFTP Host Address

5. Pull the firmware file through the TFTP server into the entraNET
radio.

8.2 USING CONFIGURATION SCRIPTS

You can create and download configuration scripts from the transceiver
that contain a wealth of information about the radio. This file can serve
many purposes, including to keep a copy of the radio configuration at a
point in time. These files can also be used to view the setup of a radio
without connecting to it. Examining archival files can be a useful source
of information during troubleshooting.
The next few sections describe the contents of this file, and explain how
to use it as a template for configuring multiple transceivers with the
