5.3.1 Endpoint Device Connected to the AP

In this arrangement, information received using an AP Ethernet port is
sent to the serial port of the Remotes and the AP local serial port. The
reverse is also true, meaning that any data received from the serial port
of any Remote or the AP local serial port is encapsulated into an IP
packet and sent out the AP Ethernet port.
