Do not use vinegar or descaling
agents containing vinegar as these
will damage the appliance.
On aluminium fronted appliances
(see dataplate) do not let descaling
agent get onto aluminium surfaces.
If this does happen it must be wiped
off immediately as otherwise it will
mark the surface.
^ Using a proprietary household des-
caling agent with a citric acid base,
dilute with water to make 1.0 litre. Fol-
low the manufacturer's safety instruc-
tions given on the packaging.
^ Place the descaling solution in the
water container and push it into the
appliance until it engages in position.
^ Turn the function selector to
DESCALE k.

next to the symbol for descaling k and
a running time of 33 minutes. At the
same time the light bar between the

buttons will come on.

The descaling programme can only be
cancelled during
pressing the Start button. A new pro-
gramme cannot be selected until the
descaling process has been comple-
ted.
Do not adjust the function selector
during the descaling process. If it is
turned before the end of the process
the whole process will have to be
started from the beginning again.
