you will hear a pumping noise
as water is pumped from the water con-
tainer into the steam generating unit.
The appliance will then heat up. During
this heating up time the rise in tempera-
ture in the oven interior shows in the
display.
As soon as the set temperature has
been reached, the display will change
to show the cooking time set and the
time will begin to count down. This is in-
dicated by the colon flashing between
the figures.
Please note that the total time, i.e. the
time between the beginning and end of
a function, is made up of the heating up
time and the set cooking time added to-
gether. The heating up time and there-
fore also the total time will depend on
the quantity of food to be cooked. The
larger the quantity, the longer the hea-
ting up time.
Please also note that if the cooking tem-
perature selected is 85 °C or higher
and the cooking time is longer than 30
minutes, then the steam generating unit
will switch off 3 minutes before the end
of cooking time to make use of residual
energy. This is indicated by the letters
EC in the display.
