Self-diagnostic function
This VCR uses a self-diagnostic function to detect an internal malfunction. When a malfunction occurs in the VCR, the indication
corresponding to each malfunction illuminates on the fluorescent display.
The type of malfunction corresponding to the indication and countermeasures are given below.
If the error is not cleared even after taking the remedial action described below, switch off the power, disconnect the power cable
from the power outlet, and contact your dealer immediately.

Others
This error may occur when the recording is started with no video
signal input or when the video signal stops during recording.
Check the video signal.
Reel
These errors may occur if there is something wrong with the state of
the video cassette. Eject the cassette tape and load it again.
Tape
This error may occur if there is something wrong with the power circuit.
Turn off the VCR power. Wait a few seconds and turn it back on.
This error may occur when the cassette tape is torn.
Check the casstte tape.
